Following Diocesan open football trials at Coffs Harbour (Wednesday 27th April) a Lismore Diocesan girls and boys open football team was selected to attend the CCC Football Championships in Sydney. Once again these trials were hampered several times by flooding, wet weather and ground closures this year.

Lismore managers reported that both the girls and boys open teams performed very well in Sydney this year against some very strong opposition from other dioceses’ and had solid results in pool matches. However, no Lismore players were selected for CCC open teams this year.
