DIOCESAN OPEN BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 19TH MAY 2022 COFFS HARBOUR

The Open Basketball was held at Sportz Central, Coffs Harbour. Once again the championship was forced to postpone, not for wet weather but because a broken backboard could not be repaired in time for our original date of March 24th. This meant rescheduling and, as always with full school calendars, a new date was hard to find. Six girls teams ( only one division) entered the competition this year rescheduled for Thursday, May 19th.

Boys’ team entries were down a little from last year. Four teams entered division 1 and five into division two. All players had a good day of basketball. Thank you to the convener Tim Whitney, Sportz Central, managers and coaches from colleges and referees. Congratulations to all college students who participated in basketball this year.
