CPS SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS – 22 MARCH 2021 HOMEBUSH

The  Polding Swimming selection championships were held at Homebush in Sydney on Monday 22nd March. Thanks and congratulations to the Lismore managers Fiona Croker, Fiona Thompson, Sarah Jennings and Tony Kokegei for a job well done looking after the Lismore students and families. There were 72 students from Lismore Diocese who attended the Polding selection trials in what certainly was trying and difficult weather conditions in getting to Sydney. Thanks to the parents who were wonderful and who made large sacrifices in getting their children to Sydney.
 
Thank you finally the Lismore Diocesan students who performed beautifully in the pool with many coming away with medals, personal bests and one student Tim Wellm (11 years boys butterfly) swimming a  new Polding record. Coco Becker (9 years) from St Augustine’s, Coffs Harbour entered in 6 events and won 5 Gold and a Bronze medal. Myla Naylor (11 years) from St Ambrose, Pottsville also won 6 medals.  The attached results below can also be found on the CSNSW-Sport website. The Lismore Relay teams all performed very well with many now representing Polding at the NSWPSSA  State swimming championships at Homebush 30th March /1st April in Sydney. 
 
I wish all Lismore Diocesan students in the Polding team all the best next week in Sydney at the NSWPSSA State Championships.

Lismore Diocesan Primary Swimming Carnival – 26 February 2021 Murwillumbah

The 2021 Lismore Diocesan  Primary Swimming Carnival was held at Tweed Aquatic Pool at Murwillumbah on Friday 26th February.  A really successful day with some outstanding results in the pool. There were 7 new diocesan records broken in the pool this year. Congratulations to these students. The Paddy Dent Shield was won by Clarence Zone. Congratulations to the age swimming champions and runners-up in age divisions. Thank you to all students who represented their zone this year.

Thank you to our officials (registered referees, registered starter and the Meet Manager operator), students from Mt St Patrick’s College, teachers from Tweed Zone, zone managers, the COVID  safety officer and  pool  management 

Finally, congratulations to the conveners Fiona Thompson and Tony Kokegei whose organisation made this year’s carnival very successful.

Please find attached the results from this year’s carnival below. The Polding Swimming selection trials will be held in Sydney on Monday 22nd March. I wish all students attending these trials all the best at this event. The first 3 competitors who placed in each event + first 2 relay teams are eligible to attend Polding swimming. Lismore managers are Fiona Thompson, Sarah Tisdell & Tony Kokegei.

LISMORE DIOCESAN PRIMARY SWIMMING CARNIVAL – 28TH FEBRUARY 2020 KEMPSEY

The Lismore Diocesan Primary Swimming Carnival was held at Kempsey on 28 February. Students from all 4 zones participated very well and the competition in the water was strong all day.
Congratulations to:

  2. All the students who will represent Lismore Dioceseat Polding Swimming at Homebush on 25th March.

Polding Selection Trials

Polding Swimming Selection trials were held at Homebush on Wednesday 21st March. The following 10 students from Lismore Diocese were selected in the Polding team to attend the NSW PSSSA State Swimming Championships at Homebush on 11th/12th April.We wish them all the best.
