DIOCESAN NETBALL CHALLENGE – 21ST SEPTEMBER – WESTWARD PARK, GRAFTON.
Some truly terrific games of netball were played by the zone teams at Westward Park netball courts. The results of the finals were: Playoff for 1st /2nd place St Augustine’s Coffs Harbour 35 defeated St Joseph’s Tweed Heads 12. Both teams played fast, skilful netball throughout the day. In the playoff for 3rd/4th place St Peter’s Port Macquarie, 9 defeated Holy Family, Skennars Head 8 in a see-sawing, close game.
DIOCESAN FOOTBALL (SOCCER) CHALLENGE – 21ST SEPTEMBER 2022 – RUSHFORTH PARK, SOUTH GRAFTON
The Lismore Diocesan primary football (soccer) challenge was held at Rushforth Park, South Grafton on Wednesday 21st September. After winning at Zone level, the following 4 teams contested the Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy: Mt St Ambrose, Pottsville (Tweed), St Carthage’s Primary, Lismore (Richmond), St Augustine’s, Coffs Harbour (Clarence) and St Agnes’ Primary, Port Macquarie (Hastings). On show were very talented and skilful students who, throughout the day, played some excellent football.
RESULTS : St Carthage’s, Lismore 5 defeated St Agnes, Port Macquarie 2 in a closely contested final for most of the game. In the other match for 3rd /4th, place St Augustine’s, Coffs Harbour 4 defeated St Ambrose, Pottsville 1 in another good football game (soccer).

DIOCESAN NETBALL CHALLENGE – 25TH SEPTEMBER 2019 GRAFTON
The 2019 Lismore Diocesan primary netball championships were held at Grafton on Wednesday 25th September. Zone winning teams attended this event. They were St James, Banora Point (Tweed), Holy Family, Skennars Head (Richmond), St Francis Xavier (Clarence) and St Patrick’s, Macksville (Hastings). Some excellent, skilful netball was played throughout these semi finals and the finals by all teams.
RESULTS:
St Patrick’s, Macksville 21 defeated Holy Family, Skennars Head 4 to take out the Diocesan Challenge Trophy for 2019. In a see-sawing game for 3rd and 4th place St Francis Xavier, Woolgoolga 28 defeated St James, Banora Point 23 in a great game of netball.

St Carthage’s, Lismore 2 defeated Mt St Patrick’s, Murwillumbah 0 in a closely contested final. In the other game for 3rd /4th place St Peter’s, Port Macquarie 4 defeated St Francis Xavier, Woolgoolga 3 in golden goal in extra time.
