PSSA STATE ATHLETICS  CARNIVAL – 19TH AND 20TH OCTOBER  2022 HOMEBUSH  

RESULTS 

POLDING ATHLETICS  CARNIVAL – FRIDAY 9TH  SEPTEMBER  2022 GLENDALE NEWCASTLE  

The Polding 2022 Polding Athletics Championships were held at Glendale, Newcastle on  Friday 9th September. Lismore Diocese had 132 students compete in these championships in both track and field events. Congratulations to all Lismore Diocesan students who competed well throughout the carnival. Congratulations to our many students who made the Polding Athletics team to compete at the NSWPSSA State Athletics Championships at Homebush on the 19 & 20 October.  Two special performances amongst many from Lismore students were that of Alexandrea Dogan  from St  Francis Xavier, Ballina, who broke the girls 11 years 1500 metre record of 5:23:13 with a time of 5:12:12, and Amariah Shah, from St Carthage’s, Lismore, who broke the girls 1500 metre record of 5:08:15 with a time of 5:04:83.
Special mention to Eden Usher from St Anthony’s, Kingscliff who competed in the junior girls’ multiclass and picked up 2 silver medals. 
I wish all students who have made the Polding Athletics team all the best at the NSWPSSA athletics carnival on 19/20th October at Homebush in Sydney.

LISMORE DIOCESAN PRIMARY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – 10TH AUGUST 2022 COFFS STADIUM, COFFS HARBOUR.

The 2022 Lismore Diocesan Primary Athletics Carnival was held at Coffs Harbour on Wednesday 10th August. Students from Tweed, Richmond, Clarence and Hastings Zones attended this event. Students who were successful in the Lismore carnival will attend the Polding athletics carnival on Friday 9th September at Newcastle. Congratulations to all students who competed both in track and field events.

The Paddy Dent Shield was won this year by Tweed Zone.

POLDING ATHLETICS  CARNIVAL – FRIDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2019 HOMEBUSH SYDNEY 

The Polding 2019 Polding Athletics Championships were held at Homebush Sydney on  Friday 18th October. Lismore Diocese had 113 students compete in these championships in both track and field events. Congratulations to all Lismore Diocesan students who competed well throughout the carnival. Congratulations to our 34 students who made the Polding Athletics team to compete at the NSWPSSA State Athletics Championships at Homebush on the 6th/7th November.  Two special performances amongst many from Lismore students was that of Grace Smith from St Joseph’s, Wauchope who equalled the record in the girls 11 years high jump with a height of 1.46 metres and Riley Woods from Mary Help of Christians, Sawtell who won the senior boys 1500 metres in a time of 4;54:39.
I wish all students who have made the Polding Athletics team all the best at the NSWPSSA athletics carnival on 6/7th November in Sydney.

LISMORE DIOCESAN PRIMARY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – 23RD AUGUST 2019 RIVERVIEW PARK SOUTH LISMORE

The 2019 Lismore Diocesan Primary Athletics Carnival was held at Riverview Park, South Lismore on Friday 23rd August. Students from Tweed, Richmond, Clarence and Hastings Zones attended this event. Students who were successful from the Lismore carnival will attend the Polding athletics carnival on Friday 18th October at Homebush in Sydney. Congratulations to all students who competed both on track and field events.

This year was the introduction of the 1500 metres for junior, 11 years and senior students. The winners of the 1500m will hold diocesan records in this event. The senior girls 4 x 100m relay team from St Peter’s in Port Macquarie set a new record in this event with a time of 57.96 seconds. In the 11 years girls high jump Grace Smith from St Joseph’s Wauchope equalled the diocesan record with a jump of 1.40 metres.

The Paddy dent Shield was won this year by Richmond Zone.
