Thank you to managers Mark Bullock and Greg Hayes who worked with the team this year.

2015 NSWCPS Rugby KO Finals
Congratulations again to OLHC South Lismore on representing us so well at the State Catholic Rugby KO finals held recently. The boys won one of their five games and were reasonably close in another couple. They played well though and had a great experience. They also enjoyed the "Sydney experience" part of the trip. A huge well done to school sport coordinator Michelle Forsyth on accompanying the team on the long bus trip to and from Sydney! Thanks also to the coach and parents supporters.

2015 NSWPSSA Rugby 18th - 20th August 2015
Polding finsihed 3rd after taking the 3rd/4th play off over MacKillop. The team, which comprised both Jack Denson (St Mary's Casino), Nathaniel Fox (St Agnes Port Macquarie) and Willis Coetzee (St James Banora Point), had some huge wins to emphatically reach the semi final stage. The boys were however defeated in the semi by eventual runners up Sydney West. Nathaniel received a much deserved late call up to the Polding team.
Well done Jack, Nathaniel and Willis!

Polding Rugby Forbes 22nd June 2015
Firstly, thank you managers Mark Bullock and Greg Hayes for all your efforts, enthusiasm and travel to make this long trip such a positive experience for the 16 boys who eventually took the field to represent the Lismore Diocese.
Our team was apparently quite competitive. After two narrow defeats - the first in frosty conditions which would have been a new experience for most team members - the boys then had a draw and finished up with a convincing win in the 4th and final game.
Possibles v probables followed. Willis Coetzee, Jack Denson, Jacob Prince and Nathaniel Fox all made it to this level. Final outcome was that both Jack (SMP Casino) and Willis (SJP Banora Point) made the Polding team which will compete at NSWPSSA Rugby at Warringah on 18th to 20th August.
Well done to all boys and congratulations and best wishes to Willis and Jack.
Diocesan Primary Rugby Gala Day 3rd June 2015
It was perhaps small on numbers of teams on the day but large on the quality of rugby played in perfect weather at Coffs Harbour Stadium.
Well done to all players for the skills displayed but also for the spirit in which you played the game. Thanks also to all team managers, coaches, James Perrett (North Coast Rugby Development), referees Max and Dean, St John Ambulance and the Coffs Harbour Stadium ground, admin and canteen staff. We made a good team yesterday!
Congratulations to Our Lady Help of Christians, South Lismore on their first ever Diocesan Rugby trophy in just its second year in the competition. This team surprised a few teams last year by being very competitive. This year the boys proved to be the dominant team in the round robin series by winning all 4 games decisively crossing the try line at least 4 times in each match.
The final was a different story altogether as St Joseph's Alstonville rallied following its heavy loss to OLHC in the final round to really take it to the hot favourites. OLHC kept it together however to draw 7-7 in what was a very tight game built on solid defence. OLHC emerged competition winners on the basis of finishing on top of the table in the preliminary rounds.
St Augustines' Coffs Harbour took out the "Plate" final by reversing its result in the round game with last year's winners Holy Family Skennars Head who finished 4th. MHOC Sawtell players also can hold their heads up high finishing 5th. This team bounced back from from heavy defeats in Rounds 1 and 2 to be competitive in the final 2 rounds. They should benefit from the experience as 10 of their 15 players should be back next year.
OLHC take our best wishes with them as Diocese of Lismore representative at the NSW Catholic Primary Sport Rugby Finals at St Joseph's College Hunters Hill on Monday, 10th August!
